On the 18th of November, my class and I went to see the play Rob and the Hoodies by Sean Aita at the Orpheum Graz. It’s about a boy named Rob who is bullied in his neighbourhood in present-day Nottingham. There is a gang named the Hoodies who steal people´s money, mobiles and lunch all the time. At school Rob and his friends John, Will and Marianne decide to do a school play about Robin Hood. It is not easy to agree on how to tell the story, but they agree that they must find a way to stand up to their bullies and fight for justice in their neighbourhood.
I think that the play was very funny and I was surprised by the actors in a very positive way. Their performance was really great and I was impressed by how fast the actors could change their clothes. It made me lose track of time and I love how the play involved the audience. I can really recommend it to everybody and I think that it also helps to improve your English skills a lot.
